Have not used it much but so it has worked out great for me.

I now have two of these that stay in the truck with a small sledge. They're long enough (the regular 30-in. version anyway) to hold in any ground I've tried so far, including grass, rocky soil, sandy soil, and packed dirt/gravel at a campground. The chain is a good length to allow some movement to get comfortable but not long enough to get the dog wrapped up. The dogs figure the situation out pretty quickly and are able to settle in. This gives another option besides the kennel in the truck when there's no shade in the parking lot, and is also great for tying out to rest the dogs during breaks hunting. Much better and more versatile than tying a dog to a trailer hitch and then tripping over the leash. One piece of advice - unclip the chain before pounding the stake in. If not, you'll ruin the snap clip on the post side. I forgot this (twice...) and now just have the chain fixed to the stake's swivel with a quick link. This works fine.

Easy to set up, safely restrains your dog.

Quality materials, heavy duty, swivels and clasps work as advertised. I use it for training and during Hunt tests. The chains are a perfect length for teaching dog that they need to stay and be calm in a small but safe and shaded location while waiting their turn to go to the line. After using just 2 days during training sessions then going to a test both of my dogs were calm and well rested for the weekend test. Big improvement on their attitude and performance compared to being in the kennel while waiting.

Extremely happy with this purchase, it was my first time using a tie out stake. My puppy took to the process and product easily. The comfort of seeing the dogs range on the stake and knowledge that she was secure lessen my anxiety. I would high recommend this product to anyone for either hunting or home use.

I had to look for a swivel stake for my goats, and they’re dairy breed so not the typical small under 100 pounds size. They are a minimum of 120 pounds weight and even though my husband has tried to use his concrete stakes to tie our goats up with, they would either pull them out of the ground or they were able to pull the chain off the stake. So far these are a favorite and have not had issues. I only did 4 stars due to the chains being so short, but husband was able to switch the chains around easily. If I could, I’d give a 4.5 stars out of 5. We love these stakes for them so far.

Purchased 4. All arrived undamaged and quick. Initially we didn't put the 1st into the ground far enough and my dog bent it at the bottom while using it as a back tie for bitework. (Operater error) They are all in the ground 3/4 of the way and at a angle. They work better than expected. Super happy, I'll be purchasing more.

I've used a lot of different stake-outs over the last 25 years and absolutely nothing holds up the way the TBI Pro-Style Stake Out does. If you want something that's going to last a long time, it's worth every penny.

This is extremely heavy-duty and well built. The chain and clasp are also well built and easy to use. In hard ground, make sure to carry a large hammer to secure.

Just what was needed. Holds tight easy to see and comes out of the ground easy when you need it to.

The update of a dual angle cut at the bottom is a great addition to the earlier models I have purchased. Now I can get it to drive straight into the ground. The chain and clasps are quality and will last. I travel/live full time in a trailer with 4 pointing dogs and having a space for them outside and contained is a must.

This simple design goes back decades to the guys that wrote the books on training. The chain is perfect length, swivels everywhere it's supposed, and you can pound it into just about anything with your 5lb hammer. Some future civilization, thousands of years from now, will study this stakeout and hopefully determine that this mobile training tool was where dogs got over their anxieties and learned to "sit with themselves," were fed in front of motels, and napped under shade trees. To me, it's just as important as any collar, lead, or launcher.

Stake Outs work great for my dogs. I use them hunting, at feeding time, and while traveling.

I bought it because I have 3 dogs. It’s good for when I use the dogs at camp. I have 2 labs and a German shorthair. I use labs for duck hunting and don’t use the stake outs. But when I take all the dogs upland hunting/camping it’s nice to keep them moving while we are camping. When we travel 12+ hours it’s nice to stake each one to have enough time to use the bathroom while we stop.

Works a lot better than stringing a chain between a couple of T-post.

Perfect for taking out that single dog, or as a post for your chain gang. Durable, great construction. We use in the field and training at home with our English Cockers. Great size.

The quality and strength of this tie-out is amazing. I would suggest it to anyone who has a pup they want to watch the action while the big dogs run their drills.

We ordered 4 stake outs and 2 whistles. They came immediately. Only issue one whistle fell out. Contacted them just to let them know but not an expensive item so not worried about a replacement. Exactly what you want in a stake out. Strong, easily to pack and easily taken out of the ground. I switched the snaps to beefier ones only bc my lab is a moose. You will need a lump hammer to put it in the ground properly.

Stake with rotating head works well and is well made. The chain; on the other hand, was junk and I replaced it after the first day. The galvanized coating was so rough that it tore my hand while attaching a young dog. The other hard ware was good quality. They should not have gone with the cheap chain..

Very strong, length allows for deep penetration in the ground. Never had a dog pull out of the ground to date.

I have 4 of them-they are indestructible! Wouldn’t have any other kind!

Got two of these for staking dogs out at tests, training days, camping, etc. Already used them more then 12 days (test season is upon us) and I am quite pleased. The stake is great and well designed. The paint is looking rough after (literally) breaking rocks from Kenai to Delta Junction, AK and back but that is to be expected; no fault there. The chain, links and snaps didn't really pan out. There are brass swivel snaps on both ends and it's a rough galvanization on the chain. The second time I had a dog on one (at a NAVHDA test) he came walking up to me 30 minutes later dragging the chain. Clearly whatever horsing around he did un-snapped the brass snap link from the stake. If I was in a different part of the grounds, who knows where he could have ended up. I recommend swapping the stake side swivel snap for the quick link with some blue L.T. I ended up getting stainless quick links, 3 feet of stainless chain and reusing the brass swivel snap on the dog end for a perfect set up for our uses. Super thrilled with the stake-out and recommend 100%!
