The BEST purchase ever. These are flexible, lightweight, yet strong and are washable. Since my 17-week old Lab is constantly dragging this check cord on the ground, in the mud, in the river, and etc., it gets dirty. But wash it once and hang out to dry, and it's ready to go. Nice check cord. Soft, smooth and doesn't easily knot. Hardware seems durable. It's a bit heavy for my 3 month old pup to drag around, so we'll put it away for now.

This has been very helpful in attempting to retrain our wayward dog! He has been responding well and appreciates having the extra lead on walks. I wish I had purchased it when we first got him. This check cord is perfect to train your dog not to stray too far during open field training and is very durable. In light cover the cord rarely gets tangled in the underbrush.

My pup is only 10 weeks old, but it seems tough and will hold up nicely to wear and tear. Ally at only 12 lbs. Got used to it quickly and doesn't seem to bother her.

Not bad. Feels good in the hand. Good for smaller breeds. Have not got it wet yet, so don't know how it will hold up. Not quite as stiff as I would like. But in my application it might be more demanding using it for on the collar blood tracking wounded game. Critical not to hang up in brush, etc...

We are travelling, and I wanted a long, light leash. I wanted it to coil easily like the regular leash I use with him, which is the same diameter, but softer than this one. This checkcord is the closest thing I could find. I am grateful for it. It is a bit heavy for my 18 lb nine month old pup, but lighter than others I looked at. He loves to run much faster than I can go. Now he can. I made a loop on the end to hold it by. The knot holds well. I appreciate that this was created for a different purpose. It works well enough for mine. Thanks.

So far, so good. Knots have not been an issue. Color will fade a bit, but still easy to see when working with your dog in the field. Color fading is the only reason I give it 4.

The brass snap is inferior and too small. Prefer the stiffer rope. The softer rope picks up stickers and trash.

Goes through brush well, but thinner diameter of cord makes it harder to hold dog back. Pulls through hands easily.
