I gave this rating because I haven't had a chance to use the product excessively yet. So far it's seems good. I will say that the shipping cost for this was over half of the price of the item, which is ridiculous. To charge 8.00 for shipping this small item is too much. And the cost for the item for the quantity is too high. Delivery was fast, no problems.

Excellent as promised. Really helped with reducing any occurrences of snowballing and any further snow accumulation on her paws. Where it was especially helpful is with chemical salt burns that sadly we have been fighting living in the city. You can really feel the difference in the softness of pads preventing any cracks and treats. I would highly recommend this to any dog facing same issues.

Our 10 year old Brittany has dementia, and he has some major sensory issues. Sometimes it hurts walking on concrete/asphalt...and the snow will ball up in his paw pads making walking painful too. Immediately after applying this, he was no longer limping while walking across the street. Lasted about two weeks before needing to reapply. We haven't had snow since applying it, but I expect positive results as well.

Great product. For some reason, my Setters get almost instant snow/ice balls between their pads whenever I run them in the snow. Gooping this stuff all over the pads and in between the pads truly does mitigate the snow and ice build up. My dogs don't do boots, so this stuff opens up a lot of options for a Minnesota Grouse and Pheasant hunter in Nov/Dec! I strongly recommend the product.

We walk 4 to 8 miles a day for exercise. This product protects his paws from the rough terrain. Easy to use and dries quickly. He hates his feet to be touched, but it's easy to apply. Love it.

It works perfectly. Just started going hiking on the weekends, and without mushers secret, my dog paws were getting burned on the hot sand and rocks, as well as dried out. Once we put it on, no more problems, and it doesn't clump at all unlike another brand we tried previously.

Has helped my 1 yr old German Shepherd. He is cow-hocked and twists his back legs when he walks which has led to sore pads. I used Tuf Foot along with Mushers Secret and between the two products, he is no longer limping. Also hooked him up with neighbor's 1 yr old female Weimaraner, and he runs like no tomorrow trying to herd her, getting great workout along the way! Thanks to Steve/GDS for making this possible!

This product works great! We use our German Shepard to do a lot of tracking at night on and off leash, and she finds her subject every single time. The one thing we don't have to worry about are her paws getting raw. This product is non greasy and easy to use. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I hike every weekend with my little cutie Domino. She is part beagle and part dalmation if you can picture that. We went on a 5 hour hike and sad to say her paw pads were raw and pealing. I've been using the Musher's since then and it's fantastic. Her paw pads look great after a long hike. I'll be buying more when needed. I highly recommend the wax for anyone who takes their animal on a long hike.

Product works well in the tough Wisconsin winters running the dog on snow and ice. It prevents snowballing and reduces cuts from ice, as the pads stay flexible. It did not affect any home flooring or ability to walk on floors after use in the field. This product did what it promised.

So far so good. I was having problems with my dog getting salt burn on his feet. A few applications of Musher's Secret, and it seems to have taken care of the problem. I also like to apply a liberal amount before upland hunting in snow. It keeps the ice buildup to a minimum.

With the winter we have had in the Northeast, Musher's Secret really helps protect the dogs' paws from the elements. I understand it is used in Alaska for the sled dogs for the same purpose. I have used it for years, first with my Newfoundlands, and now with my Beardies. It is a great product.

The product arrived very quickly, and there was plenty of communication about the order and tracking information right away. This winter has been hard on the dogs because they would need to come back inside shortly after going out for a walk because their paws hurt. With musher's secret they are out and about for nice long walks ,which keeps them more sane inside. Great way to relieve wintery cabin fever.

This product is great. My dog Willy was fussy about me putting it on his paws at first, but he soon realized the benefits, and sits patiently while I apply before heading out on the salty/snowy sidewalks and streets for our daily walk. OK...I'll fess up, I use it on my hands after apply to his paws. It's great. Willy does actually go to work everyday with me. He has his own job to do. Attend to the shop people and any visiting guests. Oh, the UPS man is his favorite.

Musher's is the only product we've found that keeps snow/ice balls from forming between our dogs pads. It generally lasts for several hours and is easy to apply even in cold weather. It's also good for conditioning dry pads, and helps heal our dogs raw tail tips (resulting from hunting in briars and heavy brush).
