Still the best

This was my 4th Mendota lead and it, for my money, is still the best of all leads, leashes, harnesses I've tried. Gives me control of my buddy and is comfortable for both her and me. I replace them only because I want a new one -- they don't wear out.

We’ve been using these for 15 years with very large dogs great Danes in English mastiffs (120-260lbs) and they simply are the best leads. They are simple effective kind, but allow the dog to understand the commands from the lead. No spoke collars no chokers simple and effective

My Katie pulls rather badly when she's walked. I've tried various leashes and leads for her and the Mendota British-Style slip lead is the best I've found. I just ordered my fourth. It's simple to put on, is comfortable for both me and Katie and it gives me more control over her in our walks than anything else I've used.

I've had this lead for a while and use it nearly daily with my lab puppy. It's super lightweight, yet feels sturdy. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, it tightens when you pull on it and loosens when you release the tension.

I like the leash, but I think my dog is much too young, as he bites the leash. I have tryed every thing to stop that but he likes bitter apple, vinegar, all those things. Hopefully with more training that will stop. But the leash is of excellent quality.

Great quality materials. A perfect addition to my training tools for Cooper, our Black Labrador Retriever. The size of the lead is big enough that it doesn't kink, but still small enough for him as a puppy it isn't overbearing. Highly recommended tool for your training needs. I use this lead when I walk Cooper as well, and I have found he responds better to it than a tradition snap leash.

I've used this lead in the field with my hunting dogs for many years, but more recently to walk shelter dogs (mostly Pits). The lead is very strong and substantially constructed. The thickness is perfect for these strong breeds. It slips over and fits onto the head/ neck quickly which is important in getting the dogs in and out of their kennels.

This is an excellent leash, purchased for my 9 wk old puppy. He took to it immediately. When he strains it he realizes it right away and is quick to comply with little or no direct correction other than tension. British-Style Slip Lead works well for all dogs. I work with dogs at a local shelter and many of our volunteers ask where they can get these leashes. The leash enables you to leash up a dog quickly and safely, and then release it easily when needed. I have ordered a number of them and recommend them to all!

I keep this lead in my car with me. It comes in very handy if one of my own dogs gets loose without a collar on. I also use it when I come across a stray dog that needs to be saved from busy roads. I love it! It is very well made!

I use this primarily to walk dogs at our local Humane Society. It encounters lots of un-trained, leaping pulling, leash biting and fractious dogs. This is my second leash of this type, and I find it works very well. Dogs don't get away, and it is long enough to use a barrel loop on the especially energetic pups. Great leash!
