I buy a new collar for my hounds about every 2 years & wouldn’t keep buying the same ones if they weren’t great collars. Hounds are tuff on things & I live in a dry climate so they do start getting dry & crack around area where I bucked it. Given that, it’s still great for outdoors activity & works well with my girls. The metal tag has helped with finding them. I have one that’s gone off many times & the info on the collar has been a dog saver. I suspect that the smaller dogs would not be so hard on their collars. Why not metal you might ask? Cause I don’t like them—they leave a stain on the coat, are heavier & harsher on the neck. Since my Foxhounds are pets, I just need something easy to clean & wears well.

I really love the Tuff material. It is durable, easy to clean and feels much more comfortable than a regular nylon or leather collar. And it looks great!

The collar is great! It is soft and does not rub my dogs neck. It is easy to clean and no odor (my dog is in the water a lot, other collars begin to smell). The name plate is very nice.

This collar delivers on all its promises. The material means it’s never actually wet and extremely simple to wipe clean when necessary. No wet dog smell. We were annoyed by the jangling sound of regular dog tags and this riveted tag solves that problem while looking great. We received several compliments already.

Great collar. Fantastic quality. Been buying all my collars here for the last 20 years. In the past I bought a slightly stiffer nylon coated collar but the tuff flex is considerably softer. Just a matter of preference

This is our second collar and a great alternative to leather. The first lasted 4+ years and our lab is in the water a couple times a week. No odors ever.

When I want a color other than the basic black, brown, orange.. I go to the TufFlex line of collars. This color works well for farm dogs, because they are constantly going into the ponds and moving in and out of brushy fields. This soft , leather-like, but waterproof collar gets very dirty on our dogs here, and so it's great that with a sponge and hot soapy water the collar cleans up like new.

I bought this to replace a previous collar I bought from this company a year ago. I really liked it, it was super durable, easy to clean, but my malinois chewed it up. I was glad to find they are still selling these collars and didn’t hesitate to buy a new one. This is the only place I will buy collars because they are very well made and don’t get smelly and nasty when my dog is muddy or wet.

These collars are amazing! I purchased 3 of them for our farm dogs, two pink for the girls and one blue for the boy. They ran pretty true to size, maybe a little on the larger side. The colors are really pretty, not muted like other “tough” brands of collars. The center ring gives it extra flexibility on their neck, and they already seem more comfortable in them! They are SO EASY to clean! Literally just take a damp rag and wipe them off. The name plates are also super high quality, seem to be drilled really well and engraving is deep so it doesn’t fade. They hold up awesome against all the rigors of being a barn dog-water, mud, dirt, rough play, sliding under fences, and constantly being outside. And you just CANNOT beat the price. I am recommending these to everyone I know and I personally will never buy a different brand of collar again! Thank you GDS!!

Center ring makes the collar fit our dog more comfortably. Does not absorb any water so no smell. Cleans easily if dirty. Have used the same one on past dogs and life of collar is great. It's the only collar I will buy.

Love this collar! The nylon ones turn my springer's white hair red when they get wet. This one was in the water everyday this summer and it doesn't bleed at all! I've only had it for a few months, but it's showing no signs of wear and tear and my pup runs through the woods and brush nearly every day. Now, if I could just get him to sit still while I put it on. Thanks for a great product!

Really like this collar material a lot more than nylon. Brass nameplate looks nice too.

A suggestion, the nameplate should be fastened closer to the buckle instead of by the holes so more can be added in case of adjustment. I wanted to add one hole and I couldn't.

Great collars for my hounds. They do tend to crack after some wear time. I buy new ones when they stiffen up & crack in the collar.
