We are working with a rescue boxer who is dog aggressive on leash. After learning how to use this collar properly by a professional trainer the dog is doing great within three weeks of training.

This is my first ecollar. I've never used one before. The video that came with it on how to use it was a big plus. One short training session and my dog understood the here command!

This product is easy to set up, easy to use, and has many features for training. I especially like the sound and vibrate functions and have been able to primarily use that in my training. The no bark feature and the light for night time walks are a great bonus! The remote is set up in a way that is easy to hold and easy to use without looking at it. I highly recommend this training collar.

I was hoping for more range, but given the tree density and hilly terrain where I live, the effective range went down to less than 1000 feet quite a bit less than the three-quarter mile advertised. That said, the unit operates well. I like the flexibility and especially the beacon, since I walk after dark.

The Garmin Sport PRO is absolutely great for us and our pitbull application. We have a tough little gal to work with, so we needed something that was effective, reliable, but also easy to use. There are so many of these devices even if you do a lot of research, like I did, I still did not have a good understanding of what I needed. In my research, I noted that Gun Dog Supply had a serious amount of training info and short videos of Steve describing the products they sell. These videos are easy to watch, and I was able to narrow it down to the features that I needed for our dog breed and those that I just wanted. The Garmin Sport PRO had all, including the trusted Tri-Tronics technology that has been around for a very long time. The device I wanted needed to be simple to use and be built rugged for outdoor use. The information given by Steve in the videos enabled me to compare features as well as designs of both the collar and the hand held transmitter. In some devices, there are so many bells and whistles to use, which in reality are not going to be used correctly or even at all in my opinion. The Garmin Sport PRO has just the right balance of features, some of which are overkill, but overall the Garmin Sport Pro is really easy to setup and start working with it right out of the box. It also feels sturdy and handles well in your hand which is critical when your attention needs to be placed on the training. Great Product. Have had the Tri Tronics Pro 500 in the past, but love the addition of the bark limiter on the Sport Pro 200.

Works great. I wasn't wild about the narrow collar, but after using it for several weeks I do not see any problem with the collar. I do like that the tone and vibration buttons are at the bottom of remote. Very easy to distinguish them from the two e-stimulus buttons. The headlights on the collar are neat, but for me are not necessary. If I could change anything I would make the center red/green light not as big or as bright. I had to get used to the new button placement (which I disagree with - I rarely use the shock, but I use the tone to reinforce voice commands or to send the dogs a behavior reminder) but other than that, I like it. I walk 15 dogs out on the trail and I am recommending it to anyone starting out or needing to replace their collars.

I think the collar is not very substantial. The buckle and tongue are very loosely fitted and are somewhat sloppy. Other than that I like the collar especially it's weight.

The best electronic trainer with settings so low that the dog was not harmed.

My dog trainer said to get a collar with GPS and correction so I returned it. The Gun Dog Supply people were real nice about accepting the return, even though I had already charged the collar. (It never got used but they didn't care.) This kind of service creates loyalty.

Great collar and control. Would love to see Garmin make it easier to attach our own lanyards. Also, stimulation wheel is easy to adjust, but would be better if device remembered last setting for each dog rather than have to flip selection toggle and turn stimulation dial when correcting multiple dogs. Battery life is good and collars are rugged and water right. GDS is great to buy from. Good stuff, fair prices, fast shipping, great service!

Overall very nice product. Well built and very solid. The bark limiter has been very effective in curbing barking. Dog still barks, but he knows not to push it.

Great training collar. I love how it doubles as a bark collar. The battery life seems to be very good. And I use the led lights on the collar much more than I thought I would when walking my dog early in the morning. I thought the tone button seemed to stick on after releasing at first, but after using it a bit, seems to be working fine now.

Love the various options other than shock therapy, like the tone and vibration.

Glad they finally went back to a lower end collar for the average owner that is simple to use.

This was an upgrade from my 10 year old Tri-Tronics collar. WOW! It is awesome! They said you could use the handheld controller and not look at it and focus on your dog, and IT'S TRUE!!!! Every function is easy, and the different levels are effective for different distractions. Best training tool ever for my dog. I'm very happy and have an obedient happy dog :):)

Our boxer is 6 months old and before we got the Sport Pro we could not let her off leash as she would just take off. Now she comes when called, sits on command. This is all within two weeks of using the sport Pro. Usually I only need the vibrate mode to get her attention. The collar is simple to use and very effective. I would definitely recommend this collar to anyone with a dog with a attention problem.

Has worked well on 2 dogs, the auto. Bark mode worked well on our small yappy dog and really helped her to to sit longer. Our wondering lab /hound mix now comes when called!

I live in the country so I let my new puppy out to pee and poop in the mornings. It's getting darker now and he's black, so I turn on the LED lights and I can see where he's at. He knows what come means but as a puppy his attention span is short. I use the vibrate to get his attention when I say come. It seems to work for now. This is my first e-collar. It is user friendly and there are not a lot of buttons to get confused over. I would have given it a 5 but I don't have any experience with other collars.

I like it. The bright lights and the vibration function are nice. I haven't dropped the transmitter in water yet, but I will one day. I hope it's h2o proof. I would buy another.

This product is a game changer with my 6 month old Brittany. He had basic training but was starting to take off and I could not control him even with treats. The e-collar changed this quickly, in one day. I now have complete control over the dog and I rarely have to go over level 2. He responds 80% of the time with no reminder. I highly recommend this collar to anyone with a high energy dog that they want to work with off leash. This dog will also be used for hunting, but is mainly a pet.

Great features for the money! I like the ability to control 2 collars with one control as well as turn on lights, bark collar, vibration and tone! All around, great collars!

The Garmin Sport Pro is a fantastic collar. My Husky is a stubborn one and when given the chance, he loves to run and thinks everything is a game. The range allows him to roam where he likes while the no look, easy to use controls allow me to get his attention at an instant. Great product and well worth the investment.

I was looking for something like the G3 Basic Sport Pro that recently gave out on me. It's been a gem and couldn't find anything like it. I was going to buy another G3 Basic off ebay when somehow I stumbled upon Gun Dog Supply. I'd seen your review on the Delta and read customer reviews on it, and it seemed like a step down from the G3. The Garmin/Tri-tronics Sport Pro is everything in the G3 and more. I appreciate the loudness of the beep and the extra features such as the light and bark limiter, but I honestly just use the basic tone and shock mode primarily and am very happy. My first E-collar purchase, chose it specifically for assisting with recall. Very easy to use, great flexibility in not having to alter the level settings to use the tone and vibrate features, nice firm buttons, easy to hold, lots of flexibility in use. Steve, thanks for your videos, they really helped me in choosing an appropriate collar!

I had the Tri Tronics Flyway G2 before, which is similar to the highest end Garmin training collars. I was a little concerned about the durability of the smaller transmitter, but it has been great. For duck hunting the size does not matter, but for pheasant hunting the smaller transmitter is light enough to wear around your neck for easy access. I love all the new features, such as tone, vibe, lights, and built in bark collar. This is a great unit with a LOT of functionality for the price, and my concern about durability is long gone.

Both dogs were off the leash within two weeks. Recall is consistent, so they can now run in the woods, etc. Our Cur was jumping on people and that has stopped. They are both more secure and extremely happy dogs! This product is fantastic! Just buy it! By the way, these guys are so helpful when you call and the products shipped promptly. I have to say I enjoyed giving this company my business, rather than the big stores!! These types of businesses are what makes America great!

It's almost magical! Our dog is a bit hard-headed and gets in a 'zone' where it's hard to get his attention, which is why we decided to try an e-collar. Did a bit of reading and called Steve at Gun Dog Supply, and he lead us in the right direction for us. We're thrilled with the ease and convenience of this product. We can switch from mode to mode without looking because of the design of the transmitter. Pup is now just over a year old, and we can actually consider training him to hunt. The battery life is fantastic too. Definitely recommend this product.

This is an excellent collar I have tried other brands and they wasn't comparable to this one.

Have been working with dogs for about three weeks and training is going very well. Garmin Sport PRO works as advertised, no problems with initial setup or during training. Our main intent was to be able to allow the dogs off lead on hikes with the confidence that we could recall them as needed, and we are well on our way to realizing our goal.

I bought this unit as an upgrade to a previous e-collar that I used exclusively on my Coltriever. My older, smaller Cairn Terrier had developed some crazy behavior over the years when we encounter other dogs on walks, or hiking so I wanted to make him be better - ha! Well it worked amazingly well, I do not use anything but the vibrate and the tone, and his behaviors have changed all for the better. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?! Also, I only wanted to hold one handheld controller, and this sport version is a good size and easy to switch between dogs. I am sorry I waited so long to do this!
