This collar is great! It has worked just as I needed it to. It was recommended to me by a local dog trainer and I love it!

This device works as good or better as advertised. I haven't completely finished testing it, but so far it is great.

Great collar.

My only minor negative comment is that the holster strap is not thought out very well . An easy fix. The audible tone is far more effective than older models. So far this appears to the best I have used. The power is consistent.

Don't know if you really want my review because this is regarding your customer service department as my dog lost his black pro 550 collar on the second day, and when I called I spoke to a man named Steve, and he had no comment, nor would he even try and help. I called Garmin, and they have replaced the collar, at no help or without any regard from your company. This was purchased because my trainer suggested I spend the $700 for one control for all three of my dogs. I have since learned that she and two other owners have also lost theirs. You can't tell me we are the only three that have had problems; maybe your customer service department is tired of hearing from all the dog owners that have had to replace their collars. I would appreciate some feedback on this issue.

Excellent collar. Replaced old Tri-Tronics model. The LED light is a nice feature. Charges quicker and performs great! Money well spent!

The pro trainer who trained my dog recommended buying the Pro 550 from Gun Dog Supply. Glad I did. Simple, easy to use, seems durable. Steve's video review of the product helped me a lot.

This collar works for me. I run with my dog, and she likes to run free. She also pulls a lot, so it makes it hard to enjoy the run for both of us when we are attached. We are both happier now. It was really easy to train her. I mostly use the beep to get her attention. And I also love the light option! We run a lot in the dark, and it is now easy for me to see where she is, and for other people we meet on the runs to spot her ahead of time and not be surprised by a dog at their feet!

Very easy to use. All of my questions were answered very quickly. Shipping was fast. I love the vibration feature. I can get my dogs attention without shocking him. Excellent collar!

The pro 550 is a very good product and love the features. The only thing I don't like is the thinner collar. But still one of the best collars I've ever owned.

Exchanged Delta Sport for Pro 550. No regrets. Transmitter floats, is waterproof, mud proof, hunting proof. Highly recommend adding on the holster!

First e-collar so I don't have anything to compare it too. Works as advertised. Hopefully it lasts.

Like the new features of the built-in vibration, tone, and light. Smaller Toggle switches are harder to operate. Would like to have the continuous button back without having to use the toggle switch.

It has a very poor strap with no D ring as all previous Tri-tronics collars had.

My determined barker quit barking after two days of use. She quickly picked up that barking leads to negative consequences. Now, she doesn't bark even without the collar. We are now using the collar to enforce the come command. She is making great strides in that area too. GREAT product.

My dogs are very stubborn where traditional collars stimulation just was not enough to get there attention being hounds. With this collar combination I use less stimulation now than my previous collars, due to quicker training results, now that my dogs can respond to the stimulation. They now react to the tone and vibration. I would recommend this unit to anyone with a stubborn dog that does not respond well to other units like the delta units. Which I use on my other dogs that are more sensitive. I use this unit on a large golden blood hound and Bassett hound, and I have a delta for the other golden and Bassett whom are sensitive to stimulation. I highly recommend this unit. And its ease of use for anyone.

Charge connector broke off. Other than that, a great product.

Great new product, similar to the Tri Tronics Flyway series. Easy to use, built in bark collar is great, and addition of collar light fantastic when location your dog in low light situations. I have used other collars and none have provided the ease of use, adjustability and ease in training situations that this unit has.

Awesome. My last pro was stolen (it was already 7 years old), although I was pretty mad first, now I am glad. What a great progress! Works as a training collar. The light, a low light conditions walking the dogs is great. The tone absolutely helps, and it is a great bark collar. WOW!! This one is now locked up in my safe...

Having used another brand with a smaller remote, I was concerned about the size of the remote. After using this product, I must say the buttons could not be more intuitive, and the remote does not feel oversized.

I've only owned it for a couple of weeks, and so far it's been great. I'm particularly impressed with the battery life. All features have worked great, including the bark limiter. I look forward to using it out in the field.

I was so used to the intuitive nature of my old Tri Tronics Pro 100 that I was concerned that this unit would not be as easy to use. Wrong... Button and switch placement are excellent. I find it very important it have a unit I can use without needing to look at it. Great unit. When I order the item it was placed on backorder. GDS not only emailed me numerous times over the week that it was on backorder, but also called me to make sure I was OK with waiting a few days. Best online customer service I've ever experienced.

Works wonderfully for my dogs. I have used this for several weeks now and love the ability to send a 'Tone' to each dog followed up by a Vibration and/or Stimulation. For my dogs, I rarely get to stimulation before they respond to commands. Another beautiful feature are the LED lights on the collar that can be turned on and off for each dog from the handheld device. I am out with the dogs very often after dark and provides a good visual for me and others. The collars also double as a bark collar which works well and supplies me with an indication as to if and how many corrections the dogs received when in bark mode. If you can swing the price, this is a great device.

An excellent product and tool. The quality of the unit is outstanding. Have used other more expensive training collars that didn't do what this collar does. The Pro 550 takes care of all the needs to train a Retriever.

My Toller is the first dog I have pursued dog sports with, such as hunt tests, rally and conformation. The Garmin Tri-Tronics PRO 550 is my first ever e-collar. My dog requires the lowest one with short prongs and it works great. We love it!

For being a revamped, expensive and 'professional product', I do not find this to be a great value. The intensity options are too limited. My dog feels overwhelmed at the lowest setting. To switch from training to bark mode, one has to press and hold a button on the inside of the collar; this feature should be activated from the transmitter. I would have preferred a stainless quick release of the collar. They should also include an extra collar band, one for small and one for large neck sizes since you have to cut it to size. Good experience ordering from Gun Dog Supply.

Tri-Tronics, in my opinion, is the best.

Tri-Tronics is a product that I have used for 35 years. Made a mistake and bought a Sport Dog when I had two new dogs to train since my tri-tronics collar needed new batteries and were no longer made for my A-70. I purchased the Sport Dog since it was small and the reviews seemed to fit my needs. Surprise, this is not a very good product, and the Sport Dog I would not recommend for anyone wanting to seriously train a dog. Very disappointed with the Sport Dog Collar and have only used a few times, and now it is in my not used box. I purchased my new Tri-Tronics collar from Steve only because of the level of service I have received for many years and recommend his company above all others. My mistake was buying a Sport Dog and not staying with a product that I had used for many years. Thanks, Dan Miller, Alamo Sporting Dogs.

Easy to use. Very intuitive. As Steve has demonstrated in his video, this device can be used by touch without having to look at the controls.

Works great! No problems at all! Easy to use, and easy to charge! The built-in Bark Limiter is a great bonus feature, too. It fits my 35 pound French Brittany perfectly. I mainly use the momentary stimulation and have never had to go above 2 medium to get the response that I'm looking for. The Garmin Tri-Tronics PRO 550 makes dog training easier! Highly recommended!!

Almost perfect except not having a tuck loop on "the best training collar on the market" is just not well thought out.

I am very happy with my new Garmin Tri-Tronics PRO 550. I like the bark limiter, and the light, as well as the accurate stimulation. My only thought on improvement - it would be more convenient if there was a way to transfer from the bark limiter to the stimulation mode with the handheld device instead of having to do it on the collar itself. Besides that, I am happy to have it. Thanks!

I like the new additional features and price but HATE the smaller toggle switches. They're two small and feel flimsy.. I'm disappointed that Tri Tronics/Garmin collars are no longer "made in the USA" At least the Pro 550 has Taiwan written on both collar and receiver :-( Backwards compatibility would have been nice ? I'm still using my Pro 200 G3 with my Dobermanns and the new Pro 550 with my GSD. I'm seeing if I can get used to the feel of the Pro 550 toggle switches before I add a second and third collar. In the mean time I'll keep using the Pro 200 G3

Finally off backorder. Glad to get. Only comment I have for Garmin is I wish the collar would save the stim setting. Kinda of a pain when 1 dog needs a 5 stim setting, and the other one only needs a 2. Thanks.

All the functions work as advertised, and the battery life seems to be better than other collars we have. The only negative is there is no lanyard for the controller. The holster works well, but no safety cord if it's dropped. Great product!

I'm so excited to receive the new Garmin Tri-Tronics Pro 550. I've used a Tri-Tronics Sport G3 for the past 10 years with nothing but successful sessions.
