Absolutely changes the training game.

Works good. Smaller than I thought. It would be nice if they were just a bit bigger. But they did work great

I recently purchased this bird launcher to add to my collection of training equipment. Initially putting the thing together was fairly straight forward. Putting on the springs can be challenging and having two people for this is handy. This launcher can easily handle a pigeon / quail sized bird. I wouldn't expect to be able to use it with full sized bumpers. Puppy bumpers work OK. Also, don't expect this unit to launch a bumper very far. You will be lucky to get an 8 ft bumper launch straight up in the air. That being said, the main purpose I got this was to launch birds and it does that very well. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Was great on the fast shipping time. Having the ability to control the launcher at a distance while training solo was a huge plus. Expandable is an added benefit, if you are looking for a bird launcher go dogtra, easy set up

This is my second DT launcher purchased from Gun Dog Supply. This item is a worthy investment for initial training and for pre-season tune-ups. Steve's assessment and product review is on point and I'd highly recommend it.

Well made and great training device for pointing dogs

Easy assembly , rugged, and gives a pigeon enough of a lift that even a lazy bird takes some sort of flight

This is a great launcher. I love how you don’t have to mess with batteries with the receiver, having it be rechargeable is fantastic. One small down side: It’s a little tight for your full grown homing pigeons. It still works, but they’re in there a little snug. Overall, great product.

I had three QL2 launchers already, with the receivers in place. I got these to expand my options. Works like it should. Simple to assemble. Reliable. Works in tandem with another QL2 (with receiver) and is plugged into it with a cable.

Really like how these are built very solid, I would do a 4.5 but can’t the only thing I dislike is how you have to put the locking pin in so it doesn’t fly open on you. I was thinking it electronically locked and when I set them in place I hope it doesn’t open up on me. Overall though works great..

I've been involved with training bird dogs with a group for over 6 years, the launchers they had for us to use were nowhere near as nice as this Dogtra. In fact, I have a second one on the way that would've been purchased here as well, but you had sold out at the time (not surprising). Needless to say, I've had a great experience with this company, and this is a great product they carry.

This is a great product and very necessary for me to train my dogs. The spring tension is great and adjustable. I hunt in a variety of environments. So I like to train in a variety as well. Being able to launch high in open country verses low in thick cover has been great. Not sure about the duck tone option! Maybe its illegal to use a quail tone? Doesn't that apply for duck also? It doesn't matter to me and it helps find the launcher at pick up time.

I bought this brand as it was recommended to me by one of my NAVDHA charter members. Pretty easy to put together and so far works wonderfully. Launched my first few pigeons and no issues! The ones I have seen others use seem well made and they seem to last a good while. Looking forward to being able to purchase another when I can afford!

It comes disassembled but it comes with the tools to put it together! The instructions were very clear. It is sturdy and the activator is built well. Now i know why people recommend the Dogtra!

Good quality and easy to set and launch. Ordered two and one launcher was defective but Steve quickly responded and sent another launcher to exchange. That’s the reason I gave it a 4 vs 5.

This was the recommended units' of my professional dog trainer .. he uses his hard nearly everyday. The unit is reliable and quiet, just what the doctor ordered..

I have two Dogtra Quail Launchers. I trigger my launches manually but will likely add the remote next year. I use Jumbo Georgia Bobwhites and they fit fine. Easy to load. Safety is secure. I get about 10 feet of launch height. I loaded and placed the launchers about 30 minutes before I let the dog go. We approached with the breeze in our faces and he got on them. Hard 90 degree turn when we went by the first launcher so the launcher allowed good air circulation. I’m a rookie trainer but Hank my Brittany really enjoys the training. I’m using a thirty foot check cord and he holds nicely with slack in the cord. Long enough to get a couple of pictures, one of which I will attach.

Enjoy using the launcher, but it is difficult to load. Without the door system and top load only it is somewhat difficult to ensure keeping the bird in the launcher while loading. Operation is great and there is plenty of scent flow through the launcher. I would recommend this launcher to all who train pointing dogs.

Does just what it says it will do! Great tool for the dogs. If you're looking for some suggestions to better the experience of the user....and Dogtra wanted to kick it up a notch, they should consider making the 2502 remote work on the launcher receiver and/or throw in a canvas carrying case for the launcher??

These are my first bird launchers, and have used them many times since I purchased them. I bought these because my dog trainer recommended them to me. I'm glad I invested the extra money.

The pop boxes I got I love. They are very well made.

This is a great launcher. You can adjust it down for mild launches with little noise, great for younger dogs. And of course you can crank it up for sky shots, especially helpful for birds reluctant to fly. Expecting a new retriever this year and the quack sound is perfect.

Reliable and easy to operate. I use both Dogtra and Tritronic releases and both are easy to fit onto launcher.

I wish the receiver fastened a little tighter to the launcher basket. It's very loose and no way to tighten up. I'm worried that the receiver will fall off and get lost.

Could not be more pleased with the quality and ease of use of the Dogtra remote quail launchers. Training by myself, the Dogtra launcher make the job much easier. Have been using it not only with quail, but pigeons also. I bought the three pack and would do it again if needed. I have been using Dogtra products for nearly 10 years and have never had to buy any replacement product for previously purchased products, just batteries every 6 years or so. Just remember to take the safety off the launcher before turning the dog loose. Great product. Well worth the price. John

Perfect launcher for young dogs! Love that the remote is interchangeable with the other Dogtra Launchers.
