I own two Alpha 32 starter’s pistols. They are well-made and easy to use. I found that Gun Dog Supply easily has the best price for this starter’s pistol when I was looking to purchase a spare.

The Alfa 32 caliber and 22 caliber are the current "go to" pistols for track and field starting. They are durable and reliable and with proper care, can last a lifetime. Being my first purchase of one of these pistols, I searched far and wide on the internet for a good source. Reliable product, received quick delivery, extremely pleased

Had the gun for about 6 years now and use it for starting track races. When I first got the .32 cal. I had few issues unless I didn’t clean it well. Now it seems like it I can’t make it passed 1 shot without getting jammed due to paper wods from the shells getting stuck in the chamber. I do not recommend this gun. If it didn’t have the narrowed chamber in the cylinder then I would recommend this to anyone. When it worked it was a great gun but would only take about 20 shells before it needed thorough cleaning.

I've used this pistol to start 5 track meets...it is very good and dependable...my last pistol I used for starting track had over 20000 shots on it

I am a track and field starter. I ordered the Alfa .32 Caliber Blank Starter Pistol for starting races. I do love the Alfa and would recommend it to T and F Officials. Note that one needs to be careful of the opening at the end of the barrel when firing it. It even fires the crimp type of blanks. Thanks Gun Dog Supply.

Hi GunDog. I am a starter who works in the DC area officiating track and field meets. I needed a starter pistol for that purpose. I have ordered two starter pistols from your company. They both works like a charm. There are some new blanks out there and don't work with some starter pistols. The one that I recently bought from you fires them without a problem. Great starter pistols.

I didn't buy the gun for training dogs, just for starting track meets, but if what you're looking for is a loud sound, you certainly will have that in spades. The workings of the pistols are smooth and it will work flawlessly.

I have both an Alfa .22 and .32 pistols to use as a track and cross country starter. Both work excellent and are a great value. When I had a problem with one of the pistols, the repair was taken care of free of charge and was returned quickly. Thanks for everything!

As a track official, I was using an older starting pistol that did not work well with Pyro shells. The Alfa .32 worked great at the two meets I did with it. It is much easier to load and remove shells, and there are no loose parts.

This is my 2nd alpha .32. I also have an alpha .22. I am a track official and use the alpha's to start races, the .32 for outdoors, and the .22 for indoors. My first one (purchased 8 years ago) is in the shop getting repaired. That is why I have two .32's. Lifetime guarantee. Gun Dog Supply has the best price of any Alpha I have seen. Great service. I ordered on Saturday night, and the gun was at my house on Wednesday.

I use it for starting track meets. It's the only gun I could find. The swing out cylinder is very cumbersome. It is also hard to close the cylinder so it is fully engaged. Maybe because it's new? (I hope) In general, I don't like it as much as my old NEF starter pistol. As stated before, I wasn't able to find any other choices. These guns are probably like the .32 cal. blanks, not many made anymore.

I bought this pistol for track and field meets, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I haven't had it very long and have only used it at two meets, but it works great and loads easily and quickly, which is important during a fast-paced meet.

This pistol is one of the best I have ever used. The pistol is clean firing (little to no residue). The sound level is perfect for it is not overpowering yet distinct. The trigger action is awesome for how little pressure is required. I want to order the .22 version for I am so impressed. Furthermore, had a friend of mine who also uses blank pistols wants to purchase one as well. I recommend this pistol to anyone. In one word BEST blank pistol I have owned.
