This thing works perfectly!

Not sure how to review this. My dog has never come when I call him. Well, eventually he does. This helps to speed up the "eventually" and the whole neighborhood knows he's out again.

Great everyday whistle. My go-to for most of what I need. I do also carry a thunder on my lanyard for those windy days when a little more distance might be required - but the Acme is something my dogs seem to hear and respond to, very well! Buy (6) and just put them everywhere. Keeps me out of trouble! (I care one as a part of my EDC, so often will lose one by laying it down somewhere besides my pocket. Oh....I often come across it again later and reclaim it, but better to have a spare and not need it, than not have a spare when you need one! ((It's hell to get old...!!))

This whistle is easy to blow, lightweight, and has a great tone. As a first time dog owner I wish I had a few more. I know the one I have will probably get lost before training is over.

I have English setter who responds to this whistle. Whistle is made silicone looks and feels nice good loud sound.

Good Whistle

I have been greatly enjoying training my new lab pups. I have always just used my old faithful coaching whistle but the older I get, somehow my old ears just couldn’t handle that pitch any more. While training with some friends, I noticed their whistles and how well their very well trained dogs responded to them. Upon asking about them they both said go to Gun Dog Supply and get the 211.5, dogs listen well and they are easy on your ears. So I did and they were absolutely correct. My dogs respond better than ever and no more ringing ears for me. I will order another for back up.

Small and works well for just the Dogs to here and know I am wanting a reaction

I was using an Acme Thunderer the same as I used w my last two retrievers (Labs). I just got to not liking that loud blast and decided to try this. Easy on my ears and the family and neighbors but my dog (Golden Retriever now) responds just as well or better to this. He adjusted to the change in tone immediately. Seems to carry well.

I have training labs my whole life and have always used the Roy Gonia Special whistles. I now have my first English Setter and wanted something a little more stealth in the upland woods. My dog responded well with just a couple training sessions. I bought 2 to ensure I always have one on my lanyard.

Good whistle for close range work.

I purchased this to train a Miniature American Shepherd, for herding and general obedience. The whistle is great. It’s not super loud, so it doesn’t blow your eardrums or aggravate everyone within a 5 mile radius. My dog responded to it very well. Tried some other whistles and they were too loud or inconvenient to carry. I carry the whistle in my pocket when I take the dog with me, which is everywhere. I use it when I need to reinforce some or get her attention outside of training scenarios. She can get focused in on things sometimes and “zones “ out. The whistle helps bring her back in focus. The slim design of the whistle makes it easy to put in your pants pocket and not have to wear it around your neck all the time. Will be ordering another, to have as a spare.

I've had the whistle for about one month now, and my beagle already knows the tone and that I.m calling him back. Really has been a voice saver too. Just put this on a wristband and the 3 inch length fits right next to the palm of my hand. No need to walk and carry it in your mouth or on a neck strap.

The sound from the whistle is very weak and sounds mostly like blowing air. It didn't matter what I did or how I tried to blow it, the sound was very poor. I did call and talked with someone at Gun Dog Supply and they offered to replace it with a 212 (which was the one I really wanted) but they were out of stock at the moment. Since I didn't want to wait for it to get back in stock, I ended up ordering a 212 from Amazon. The 212 works great. I would have preferred to have gotten it from Gun Dog Supply, but time was a factor.

This is a whistle that doesn't hurt your ears but the dog responds to immediately.

Works great, dogs can hear it. Not as loud as a refferee whistle. It is very annoing when in the field you hear someone else blowing a refferees' whistle. I breed English Cocker Spaniels and I make sure new owners have the Acme 210.5 for their new pup.

It's the perfect whistle to train on the field or at home or outside in the patio, it can be low pitch when you need it to be inside home or high pitch on the field. My cocker spaniel loves it.

This whistle is the best !!! I love the feel and ease of using it, I really like the pitch. Ive tried 2 other brands and this one far exceeds them. After using it for a couple of months I ordered 2 more to give to friends.

Easy on your ears and excellent for training in a controlled environment

I've had the ACME 211.5 whistle for a little over a month. It works great for training. The little ridge helps it stay put in your mouth while giving vocal commands to the pup.

great whistle, these are the standard for handling springer spaniels.

Nice whistle. Wife wanted something for the back yard (2 ac.) to call the dogs cause she cannot whistle very loud. This whistle is medium in loudness and is perfect for around the house or closer work. Doesn't ring your ears like some.

The standard for my training now. I use to use the pea type whistles but I like the control I have with these Acme whistles and they don't ring my ears in the blind. I use the 212 for a little more distance if needed.
