We’ve owned dogs for more than 30 years and always bought the traditional leather collars with leash attachments near the buckle. Trying this new style of a center ring, I find it easier to locate in the long thick hair of our Bernese Mountain Dog. The collar is well made, sturdy with securely attached buckle and rings. When it can be seen through her long coat, the London tan color beautifully complements a Berner’s tan points. Our gal is 90 lbs. and when excited can put a lot of stress on a collar and leash. I have no doubts that this collar will stand the test of time and wear.

It’s not easy to find a good thick leather collar that will fit our large dog. So far this one looks like very good quality and it fits him.

Needed a new leather "dress" collar for my nearly two-year old Pointer; he's outgrown his hand me down collars from his older relatives so I was pleased to find this very well-made Conway style collar that suits him just fine. I've seen similar quality products in the usual upscale suppliers but none as good a value as this, and believe me-- my pointer cannot tell the difference! Beautifully sewn, and should give my pup a lifetime of service as his "house" collar.

My dog is only 10 months old, and I suspect this may be the last collar he ever gets. It's well made and rugged. The stitching is perfect, and the edges are nicely finished. the hardware is great as well, a nice brilliant brass finish. There just isn't anything negative I can think of here. I'm not really sure how they can offer it for such a price. A similar collar at a big chain store would likely be double the money. The only variable I can't comment on yet is how well it holds up to water. Being leather, It's possible it won't last forever when exposed to lake water once a week, but we'll see. If it ever wears out, I'll just get another. It's the best collar I've ever bought.

I’ve purchased several of these over the past 10 years and they outlast the dog. These leather collars are safe, beautiful, durable and made in the USA. Love the name plate - a must have for my border collies. If you do not use all the lines, think about skipping lines.

This is a solid, well made leather collar. The instructions for measuring were spot on and our collar fits perfect. I also appreciated the direction on what information to put on (and not put on) the tag.

I ordered this collar for my GSP, Benelli is her name, and she hasn't had it off in 6 months. It has performed well in the water when she goes for her daily swim in the summertime, all brass components look brand new. It's even stood up to the abuse of hunting in the rocks and brush. It's very nice the collar is silent for hunting. Benelli loves her collar and I do too!

This is a great collar!! Jimbo is my coon dog. He stays inside with us but also goes out hunting 4-5 nights a week. This collar is holding up great to the elements . I would definitely suggest this collar to anyone that is wanting a collar with great looks and functionality for hunting!!

The brass name plate makes them special and is certainly needed if they run off. The collars arrived to my address very quickly. We have multiple ranch dogs who are often left at our gate- if they stay and mix well with the other dogs, they get one of these collars and are officially "part of the family!" The dogs are constantly on the go, running along with trucks and horses, chasing whatever through the dense brush, jumping or shimmying over, under or through fences (bad dogs!), swimming where ever possible and these collars stand up to it all! Two times, a dog has returned from a jaunt without a collar and I have found the missing collar on the fenceline- proof that the "ring" allows them to back out of the collar if they get stuck. These collars are the only ones my dogs wear!

I purchased three of three of these dog collars. They are stitched together with brass I.D. tags riveted on them. Frankly, these would be a great value at twice their price. I have purchased Filson collars in the past, paid over $60.00 and the quality and workmanship of these is no less than the Filson product. I prefer to support small business and I am glad I found one with great prices, terrific customer service and quick fulfillment and shipping. I could not more highly recommend Gun Dog Supply.

Love this collar. The leather is good quality and is comfortable on the dog as he never scratches at it. I also love the color of it. The plate is small and neat and the lettering is lovely. Overall this product was very reasonably priced and shipping was super fast. I would definately recommend.

Leather is sturdy and hardware is strong. Takes a while to warm up and become malleable enough to not seem awkward around the dog's neck, but after a few weeks, it fits like a glove. Wished that the tag information was a larger font, centered, and clearer. I opted for fewer lines of text with the hopes they would take up more space on the tag and be easier to read. Overall extremely pleased with the quality of this product. Ordered another one for my other dog. Highly recommend.

The collar is certainly very good looking and looks great on the picture. The drawback is that it is extremely stiff and the brass ring hits the dogs throat right in the center. If anyone knows how to soften up the leather that would be very helpful.

I ordered this collar for our mixed breed small rescue dog and we love it. The service was very fast and efficient and the collar is beautiful. The ring allows a quick leash attachment. Why doesn't every collar have this feature? Thank you for your excellent workmanship!

I would have given it an excellent. It is, but I wish it were a little more pliable. It is a little stiff on my Springer, but I hope it will relax with age. Quality is outstanding, and I know it will last for years. Now if I could only get her tags to stop jangling!!

This is an exceptional collar. The weight and sturdiness are great, and the hardware is heavy. We especially like the additional ring at the back of the collar for attaching a leash. It seems more comfortable for our dog Cooper and doesn't get in the way of his tags. We opted for a custom name plate, which looks great and appears to be securely attached. If Cooper grows out of this collar, we'd definitely buy another just like it.

These are great collars for the money. The brass ID plates are really useful and durable. I get about 9 months of use out of these collars before they are pretty stretched and have to be changed. My dogs swim a lot, and these collars are the best I've found for anywhere near the price. These are also as good as collars costing several times the price.

This is a beautiful collar. The leather is really nice and and the quality is A++. I looked for a long time for something of good quality, but not bulky. This was a great find.

Really excellent collar with beautiful brass tag riveted for identification purposes. This collar is a great value for the quality received. Great company to deal with. The only change I would make is to place holes 5/8" apart rather than the standard 1" This would give greater flexibility for actual fit to the dog.
