I really like your product. It really helps heal fast any paw issues I have with my dog.

Tuf Foot is simple "Tincture of Benzoin". We used to use it as an adhesive for "mole skin" to prevent blisters when ruck/road marching in the army. Tinc. Benzoin is a great temporary fix for blisters, (on humans). If you drain then inject a fresh blister, the solution turns to a solid which adheres to your skin for anywhere from an hour to a couple of days, which is usually long enough, but when it comes off, it leaves raw skin. I don't recommend blister injection. It hurts like hell, even if only for a minute. Anyway, that doesn't really apply to a dog. If you could immobilize your dog and keep re-applying this product it may work temporarily, but otherwise they just wear it off running around or at least that was my experience. If you want to try it, I'm sure most drug stores still sell it.

I only gave this product 3 stars because of the length of time it takes to produce a toughened pad area on the dog's foot, and the strong smell it has. This product does work, but I have to start applying it about a month before hunting season to have good results in time for the opener. Also, I wonder if the strong smell can affect the dog's nose. I suggest only applying it outside and have your dog stay outside until the product smell has subsided.

Tuf-foot is a great product and I would recommend this product to anyone who hunts in extreme environments. I used this product to condition my pup's feet before hunting the texas gulf coast which is littered with sharp oyster reef. No cuts since using this product.

After a couple weeks of applying this to my dogs feet their stamina is substantially better. They don't sit around and chew on their feet for days after hunting either. This has made a huge difference in my dogs ability to hunt consecutive days without discomfort. Great product!

This stuff really works! I brush the dogs feet once a day for 2 weeks before long days of a South Dakota pheasant hunt, and the dogs' feet last much longer. The first 5 years before using Tuf-Foot the dogs' pads wore thin, cracked and bled. Now the pads are like good leather boots on my dog.

I have not had a chance to use it too much yet (came yesterday) but I do wish the instructions would be a little more specific as to the best way to apply. Cotton ball, rag etc what is best so as to not waste it. It has come highly recommended.

I bought some Happy Jack pad kote and What A Mess. It was like putting permanent ink on her pads. It may have worked but the mess it made made me not want to apply it. You have to have alcohol to get the stains from your hands. I have used Tuf-foot in the past and it works just fine. Apply it 1-2 times a day for the two weeks before you hunt and the dogs feet last much longer in the field.

It did a nice job protecting the dogs feet for the 3-day hunt in North Dakota. He didn't have sore feet at all.

Ran all five of my Greyhounds this weekend and none had any issues with their feet - all had been treated with tuff foot for a couple of weeks. I do lure coursing with them, so they are running hard in fields. Definitely recommend tuff foot.

My dog" RED" loves her day chasing birds at field close to our home. So every nite we go out for a 1-2 hours of running. and playing. She came up lame one day we took her to the Yelm Vet and he suggested we try Tuf-Foot for Red and it has eased her pain quite a bit.WE are happy it worked and we still go out for our walks.

extremely difficult to apply, very messy, need to design better applicator, pricey for amount you get. better instruction. It does work in spite of the above.

First of all, I love Gun Dog Supply for their great customer service, selection and prices. After looking for a product to help my dogs paw pads not be so rough, I found Tuf-Foot. I called GDS and asked a few questions and placed my order. This stuff rocks!!! I applied it to their paw pads using a cotton pad and after just two applications, I could see a huge difference in the softness of their pads! The bonus is, my own cuticles and finger tips are softer... I highly recommend this product, and will continue to look to Gun Dog Supply for my dogs needs. BTW, mine aren't hunting dogs. Dash the GSD is a working dog, and Breeze the Ret mix is the goofy tag-along :)

Our Lab (was a seizure dog for my nephew) is allergic to just about everything. Gets shots, pills special food etc. Poor guy still doesn't get much relief. His paws itch and he chews his pads to rawness. This dog liked the taste of anti-chew products that made us retch! Tuf-Foot gives him instant relief and reduces the redness in the raw spots within hours. He seems to enjoy the application. We apply Mushers Secret on the pads after the Tuf-Foot dries. This combo has healed and maintained his paw pads better than any other regimen tried the past nine years.

Tuf-foot is great to put on your fingertips to toughen them. Then when you play a stringed instrument like a guitar, banjo, or mandolin, your fingers don't hurt. It also prevents formation of (or softens existing) callouses. Your fingertips are tough but have no hard edges.

Just wanted to thank you for the Tuf-Foot I bought at the beginning of this duck season in SE Virginia. We hunt a large range of places here in VA and a lot of those include oyster and mussel beds in the salt marshes. Before using the Tuff-Foot bonaseptic my Toller?s pads were cut up and raw from hunting divers on the James River in the shadow of the Newport News Shipyards. I haven?t had a cut on her pads since and she has developed tougher pads as a result of using this product. Putting the solution on her feet is exceptionally easy and she gets excited when she sees the bottle. R. A. V.
