After a few days the stitching near the D-ring started to ravel. So the collar wasn't as good as expected. BUT, emailed GDS about the problem and had a response in minutes. It was explained some manufacturers had a problem with single stitching. They are sending me a replacement collar...Sam was great to work with and I am a BIG FAN of Gun Dog Supply's attention to customer service. So, a 3 star on the collar, but a 5+ star for Gun Dog!!

This is a great collar. Mt Brit is very hard on equipment as he busts in & out of the thickest brush and stickers there are when he is hunting. This collar is tough enough to handle this abuse and still looks good.

This is my 2nd collar. I bought the 1st for my small Border, and liked it so well I purchased 1 for my dog who weighs 57 lbs. They seem comfortable with them on. Thanks! Oh, and I LOVE the engraved brass name plates!

The collar is beautiful. Just as shown in the picture. It's thick leather with brass fittings. It seems quite durable. Although the center O-ring is intended to help the dog slip out of the collar if they get caught on something, it is a great place to clip a leash. When I received the collar, the brass name plate was flat, so I gently bent it into a curve with my hands to match the curve of my dog's neck. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Great craftsmanship, quality, visibility. The four lines of info on the stamped tag cannot get in the way, or make noise, and are very easy to read. This alone makes the collar worth it. The buckle, D-ring and leather are very strong. The tabs on the ornaments on the other collar are pressed all the way through the collar and bent over. These won't be coming off. Thank you Steve.

This is an excellent collar and is holding up very well. It looks good, also. All I have done so far is to wipe the mud off of it after taking Gus out to the dog park. Pretty muddy after everything thawed out. I would buy another if needed.

The ring on the back is really nice. Wasn't sure about it until I used it, then I realized how easy it is to leash the dog from 2 points. 1 is always in the right spot. I would just rather have no stitching.

Beautiful and sturdy collar! Love that it has a nameplate vs. a hanging tag that makes noise. The ring makes it very easy to attach a lead to an excited bird dog too. Great product, would definitely purchase again if needed.

The stitching started coming out right away and the fit is awkward and stiff. Hopefully when it gets broken it will be softer and I put nail polish on the stitching to prevent more threads from escaping. I do love the name permanently attached to the collar though.
