Great product! Nice big bowl. Set it up with a quick release and used plumbers tape to seal the connection for leaks.

Size of container is good. Float valve made of plastic which is ok. Brass would be better way to go. Plastic connector from float to hose, very poor quality (leaks). Replaced with brass 3/4 inch ghpf x 1/2 inch npt fitting, which can be found at a hardware/plumbing store. Be sure to be generous with teflon tape, to minimize/stop leaks. All in all you get what you paid for.

Gun Dog Supply sales order processing and delivery was excellent, These guys know how to do online business. The 1.8 GAL Water server arrived very quickly and safely, no issues at all. I was encouraged by Gun Dog to inspect the product for any issues and report those for immediate resolution. There are none. My hose fittings were already installed anticipating the bowl's arrival, screwed it one and turned on the water flow. It filled quickly w/o any issues and has stayed filled since installation. I can see bowl cleaning will be simple, the float cover screws come right out for cleaning the valve chamber. The only issue I've read about on previous comments is the hose connection is solid on the bowl, meaning you have to spin the hose or the entire bowl assembly to tighten it on or to remove the hose, however.. with a small investment of a quick connector that can be made simple too. Overall I give this one a 10 + rating.

The plastic hose connection can be an issue with some hoses. Best option is to get short piece of hose and use silicone around hose threads to seal it.

Previously I thought the bowl had leaks, but after looking more closely, I found that it was my hose rig up that was faulty. It's working as designed now.

Good, not excellent, due to bad washer that was glued in and had flaws that disallow a seal and leaked until I dug it out and replaced.

No problems with it. I wish that the hose fitting would spin. It screws onto the fitting coming out of the bowl so you have to spin the hose onto it to get a tight fit. I made up a short hose and set it just below the faucet connected to a splitter. Only been in use a few weeks, but so far has been great and should pay for itself in saving on the waterbill.

So the product is great. It stays clean and provides my dogs with fresh water to drink. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I can't use the autofill feature. The spout for my hose leaks, and it drips a lot of water. I just go out a few times a day and turn the hose on to fill it and off again, so I don't waste water.

Since I have the dish outside it is not a problem, but the patio around the dish stays wet. I'm not sure if it is slurping from the dog or if the dish is leaking.

It does the job, but with 3 drooling dogs, it is hard to keep clean. It does what is says though, and I appreciate that it keeps filling itself so I don't have to. I do wish it came with a stand to elevate it for the dogs.

We are very pleased with these waterers. Apparently they are better quality than 2 other types we have used. The stainless steel is easier to keep clean than plastic or galvanized metal, and the hose connections don't leak. I'm only withholding the Excellent rating because we have only used them for 2 weeks, so durability can't be assessed.

Really like the automatic waterer. I do not have any more dogs (sad), but I did buy this because I have chickens, and it works great for them. Family and friends have asked me where I got it from, and I told them. Thanks for such a great product, Sharon.

This works great. Just wipe the bowl clean once a week, and you will never have an issue. It's much better than the water cooler style waters I have used in the past.

It's a great solution when you have dogs that play all day. Keeping a hose attached and out of teethes way is still the challenge.

So far so good. Main thing for me is whether it leaks, especially the float valve. The last bowl I had leaked chronically. Stainless steel bowl is a nice improvement over plastic alternatives. Withheld the 5th star until more time elapses. Two weeks so far, and all is well.

This is the third one I have bought. The first one serviced 2 English Bulldogs. It lasted well. The second one was for 3 large dogs, one was pretty rough with the dish. She pawed at it, playing with the water. It didn't break. When I moved I forgot it. I have bought another one. I live in Reno NV and my dog goes through a lot of water. I never have to worry about him running out!
