This is a sharp well made collar. I made the mistake of measuring my Brittany’s old collar and not following direction. The first collar was too large. Gun dog supply honored there guarantee and promptly replaced it with a better fit for the little guy.

These collars are high quality leather with brass fittings and plate. The sizing guide lands the latch with room to tighten or loosen, but if you measured correctly, you won't need to!

My 12-year-old dog has been wearing this collar for 11 years, and it's still in good shape! The collar has often been wet because she likes to swim and be out in the rain. Sometimes I scrub it with soap and a brush because it can carry a bit of active-dog smell. Sure, it's a bit worn, but has stood the test of time and it still looks great. I am convinced I could never find a better quality collar.

I have had GSP's and Deutsch Drahthaar hunting dogs for 40 years. Once finding the durability of this collar to its price point, I'll only buy here.

Everything from placing the order to receiving the order was super quick and easy. Received the product and it was packaged well. The leash is really nice quality, collar is as well. Name plate on the collar was printed just how I wanted it and was also nice quality material. Over all super pleased with this product especially for the price which is what it all boils down to! Only complaint is the collar wasn’t quite as big as I had hoped it would be as I have a 180lb mastiff and needed a really big collar. However it ended up being an almost perfect fit for him with a couple more holes to spare. The leash also wasnt quite as thick as I had hoped it would be. All in all however I am totally happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

The collar is thick leather and the brass elements provide a functional bling, like fixtures on a sailboat.

Great collar & it softens as my hound wears it. She is a tricolor hound & this reddish brown looks good on her. I have bought many collars from gun dog & only had one tuff flex, center ring that became a problems due to the rivets on the inside turning out & start to cut her neck up. It took us a while before we figured it was the collar causing this & she has a couple of scars on her neck. Hopefully that won’t happen again. This collar seems like it will be around a while.

I've bought this same collar for my two labs on several occasions. They are good collars. The fit/sizing is accurate. The hardware is high quality. The leather is good quality for the price. With the dogs regularly getting wet, the leather deteriorated more quickly than it would on a higher quality collar, but the price point for this collar and quality is where it needs to be. I will buy this same collar again when needed. The name plate is good and allowing 4 lines is nice.

Great purchase, great quality and priced right.

We bought the leather dog collar with the name plate and a matching leash to go with it for our new puppy and it is a hit! Everyone loves it, including Lennox! It doesn't bother or irritate his skin. The quality is true American grade. We left our leash home one day and we needed another one to be able to safely walk our dog while we were out. We picked up a "leather" leash made in China from Petco for about the same price as the Gun Dog leash, but the difference in quality is unquestionable. I can tell the Petco leash is going to start cracking soon, but the Gun Dog leash and collar age like you want leather to age. We're happy we bought a collar that he can grow into because we love the look of it so much. We're so happy that we are going to buy another collar for our other dog!

The collar size large is a bit small should be 2 inches longer and the size of the font for dog’s is too small should be much larger - the space is available for a larger size font - Simply put it is a good value that could be outstanding!!!

I love the leather collars and the quality from Gun Dog Supply. I actually bought a rolled leather collar for my Doberman eight years ago and he still wears it today!! I just clean them with leather cleaner that conditions them also. I was so happy that I was able to come back to them to purchase one for my new puppy!!! It will last her lifetime!!
