Well made. Great quality. Looks sharp. Great service. Only problem is that this collar is too big and heavy for our dog. She is small and has a 12 in. neck, so I bought the smallest size available in this style (made to fit 12.5 to 16 in.), hoping she would grow and it would work, but unfortunately, she has not grown anymore and it is just too big and bulky for her.

Though my dog is a hunting dog with an amazing nose, she and I hunt to simply view the animals (not to take their lives). I am a dog trainer specializing in working stock dogs. I always order my collars from Gun Dog. They are high quality for a reasonable prices. Some of my collars are pretty old so they have been built to last. The flat brass nameplates are perfect for dogs working in brush and can easily be re-riveted if a rivet happens to come loose.

The original collar I received came with a nameplate that was fastened with a bad rivet, and although it didn't bother me or my dog, I notified the company, and they actually insisted on sending me a new one. The customer service is unmatched by anyone I've ever done business with. Completely thorough and polite, they will make sure your order is correct...and the new collar is perfect!! Great quality materials from an awesome company!

I would like more space to put the dog's name on the plate.

Only comment would be that I have it on my dog exactly as shown in the picture, but the excess collar is longer than this appears and waves in space. Could do with a another brass ring to keep it in position.

It is really great!!! The ID plate is a good idea and the information is very clear and readable. Of course I should have ordered the smaller size collar, but it still fits her well. She likes it and we do too.
