I am a dog trainer specializing in working stock dogs. I always order my collars from Gun Dog. They are high quality for a reasonable prices. Some of my collars are pretty old so they have been built to last. The flat brass nameplates are perfect for dogs working in brush and can easily be re-riveted if a rivet happens to come loose.

The original collar I received came with a nameplate that was fastened with a bad rivet, and although it didn't bother me or my dog, I notified the company, and they actually insisted on sending me a new one. The customer service is unmatched by anyone I've ever done business with. Completely thorough and polite, they will make sure your order is correct...and the new collar is perfect!! Great quality materials from an awesome company!

Only comment would be that I have it on my dog exactly as shown in the picture, but the excess collar is longer than this appears and waves in space. Could do with a another brass ring to keep it in position.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the 2 collars for my cattle dogs. Nice leather, looks good on my dogs. Must be comfortable since they don't 'mess' with their collars. The attached nameplate is a great touch. Good price. Won't hesitate to purchase again if/when they wear out! :)

Steve, I added a leather keeper to our collar because the Golden Retriever is just a puppy, and the tag end kept annoying him. When he gets larger and we have to lengthen the collar it won't be a problem. I just formed a loop from some scrap leather and glued it close to the D-ring.

Looks great. Nice thick quality leather. The nameplate is made of thin bendable brass, which make it easy for make it a little more form fitting for the neck. Everyone that's seen it loves it.
