Though my dog is a hunting dog with an amazing nose, she and I hunt to simply view the animals (not to take their lives). At 9 years of age, she is on her 3rd leather collar with name plates in place of dangling dog tags. All 3 collars have come from Gun Dog Supply. She knows her collar and loves for me to put it on her each morning.

I am a dog trainer specializing in working stock dogs. I always order my collars from Gun Dog. They are high quality for a reasonable prices. Some of my collars are pretty old so they have been built to last. The flat brass nameplates are perfect for dogs working in brush and can easily be re-riveted if a rivet happens to come loose.

The original collar I received came with a nameplate that was fastened with a bad rivet, and although it didn't bother me or my dog, I notified the company, and they actually insisted on sending me a new one. The customer service is unmatched by anyone I've ever done business with. Completely thorough and polite, they will make sure your order is correct...and the new collar is perfect!! I was pleasantly surprised when I received the 2 collars for my cattle dogs. Nice leather, looks good on my dogs. Must be comfortable since they don't 'mess' with their collars. The attached nameplate is a great touch. Good price. Won't hesitate to purchase again if/when they wear out! :)
