Bad seems kind of harsh, but there's one serious problem with this collar for me. The D-ring flips back and forth striking the back side of the buckle making a very loud clang. The last collar of this type I had, the back side was under the leather and there was a separate retainer for the excess strap so there was no noise. The construction is good otherwise and the customer service was excellent.

I originally purchased the Leather Dog Collar with nameplate last year for my dog. I loved the look and quality so much that I ordered two more for my boyfriend's dogs. I also ordered a reflective collar with nameplate for his deaf dog. Gun Dog supply has been great to work with and shipping is incredibly fast. Customer service is unmatched (and that's coming from someone who shops online often). I'll be a lifetime customer!

This is a great collar. Molly hasn't tried to chew on it or take it off. So it must be comfortable. It looks good also. But since I have normally used non-leather collars, don't use my review as an expert review, but for what I needed, a durable, good looking, leather, with a metal ID tag. It was a perfect match.

Well made. Great quality. Looks sharp. Great service. Only problem is that this collar is too big and heavy for our dog. She is small and has a 12 in. neck, so I bought the smallest size available in this style (made to fit 12.5 to 16 in.), hoping she would grow and it would work, but unfortunately, she has not grown anymore and it is just too big and bulky for her.

I am a dog trainer specializing in working stock dogs. I always order my collars from Gun Dog. They are high quality for a reasonable prices. Some of my collars are pretty old so they have been built to last. The flat brass nameplates are perfect for dogs working in brush and can easily be re-riveted if a rivet happens to come loose.

The original collar I received came with a nameplate that was fastened with a bad rivet, and although it didn't bother me or my dog, I notified the company, and they actually insisted on sending me a new one.
