I have used this kind of tag for at least 50 years, and it is the only tag I have found that stays on and legible. You can forget tags that are not actually engraved, as the writing wears off.

What I think is the only flaw is that the rivets do not hold up to an active dog. What I end up doing is putting them on with a pop rivet (1/8 inch) and a # 6 flat washer to back them up. From my order history, you can see I've been through a few of them.
